The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fulton Science Academy in their matchups with Cristo Rey Atlanta: they've now lost five in a row.
Fulton Science Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Green, Jr., who scored 40 points. That was a full 50% of Fulton Science Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samir Noohani, who scored 28 points.
Fulton Science Academy dropped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Fulton Science Academy will head out on the road to square off against Holy Spirit Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Dominion Christian.
