After only ten points in their last matchup, The Cox Mill Chargers made sure to put some points up on the board against the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls on Friday. Cox Mill blew past Hickory Ridge 54-21 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cox Mill also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Jon Bissonnette was on fire: he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns. Gavin Barber was in the mix as well, providing Cox Mill with two touchdowns.
Cox Mill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Hickory Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Cox Mill will look to defend their home field on Friday against South Iredell at 7:00 p.m. South Iredell is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Hickory Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against West Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Cabarrus is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
