Marksville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Opelousas Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Opelousas took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Marksville, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Marksville earned a 58-45 win over North Central.
Marksville found their leader in underclassman Laylla Dorsey, who scored 25 points along with 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dorsey has scored at least 25% of Marksville's points. Vanessa Francisco was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Opelousas lost to Oakdale on the road by a decisive 54-38 margin on Tuesday.
The losses dropped Marksville to 1-3 and North Central to 0-4.
Marksville came up short against Opelousas when the teams last played back in November of 2019, falling 54-43. Can Marksville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
