The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans will face off against the Bethlehem Central Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Monday, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake earned a 9-4 victory over Guilderland.
Ava Yahoudy made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Lilly Morse was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Bailey Dinon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central made easy work of Guilderland on Tuesday and carried off a 16-4 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Like Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, Bethlehem Central also got a great game from a two-way player: Kay Heffern. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Heffern was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Molly Campbell, who fired off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Hanlon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and one double.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bethlehem Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Bethlehem Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
