The Westside Seminoles lost to the Upson-Lee Knights back in January of 2016, but the Westside Seminoles didn't allow the Upson-Lee Knights the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Westside secured a 53-47 W over Upson-Lee. The win made it back-to-back wins for Westside.
Joshua Harden was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chauncey Williams, who scored seven points.
Westside pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Upson-Lee, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in Southwest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Upson-Lee will be home for the holidays to greet Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
