The Hudson Cobras's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hernando. Hudson has not had much luck with Hernando recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hudson still got an impressive performance from Tejacion Chapman, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The matchup was Chapman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Terrance Davis, who scored 12 points.
Leandre Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hernando, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for him. Josiah Wright was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Hudson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Hernando, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Hudson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, Hernando and Tarpon Springs will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 9:00 a.m. on January 3, 2024. Tarpon Springs is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
