Seeger has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the West Lafayette Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Seeger focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
Last Friday, Seeger was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Fountain Central. Seeger has struggled against Fountain Central recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Christian Holland put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Pluimer, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
West Lafayette can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Western with points to spare, taking the game 45-30. That looming 45-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Lafayette yet this season.
Seeger's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for West Lafayette, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Seeger came up short against West Lafayette in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 81-75. Can Seeger avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
