The Danville Warriors will square off against the Monrovia Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Danville knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Monrovia likes a good challenge.
Danville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Frankfort with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Piper Whitson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Whitson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addison Davis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alivea Abel, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Danville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Monrovia suffered their closest loss since May 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of South Putnam by a score of 8-6. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Camryn Wolfe was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Holtsclaw, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Danville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Monrovia, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Everything went Danville's way against Monrovia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Danville made off with a 14-2 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
