The Central Rebels stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They really took it to Ste. Genevieve for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-41 victory on the road. The win was familiar territory for Central who now have four in a row.
Central was led to victory by Caden Casey and Jobe Bryant. Casey scored 21 points along with three steals, while Bryant dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least a third of Central's points. Another player making a difference was Braydon Berry, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Central's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Ste. Genevieve, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. North County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Ste. Genevieve will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th.
