Auburn is 0-10 against Central since May of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will challenge the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Auburn comes in on three and Central on nine.
If Auburn beats Central with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Tigers walked away with a 10-5 victory over Opelika on Thursday.

Mary Alderson Grace made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Auburn let Daley Alsobrook and Alivia Harris run wild. Alsobrook scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Harris went 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Laina Rae Sawyer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Auburn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, while Central put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Madison County. The Red Devils came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 5-0.
The result came thanks to Kayla Storey's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.
On the hitting side, Central's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Allyson Supan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Auburn pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Central, their record is now 25-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Auburn hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Auburn came up short against Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
