The Brevig Mission Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 80-67 to Shishmaref. Brevig Mission has struggled against Shishmaref recently, as their match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Shishmaref to victory were Fred Olanna and Ivan Davis-Nayokpuk. Olanna scored 23 points, while Davis-Nayokpuk scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis-Nayokpuk has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Nayokpuk, who scored 11 points.
Brevig Mission's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Shishmaref, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Brevig Mission does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shishmaref will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Aniguiin on February 9th.
