The Orcas Island Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summit Classical Christian School.
Summit Classical Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Simon led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trey Hodo, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Orcas Island's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Orcas Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summit Classical Christian School also has no future games currently scheduled.
