Jj Schirmer posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Omaha Northwest is undefeated when Schirmer allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-15 otherwise.
