The Holmes County Blue Devils will square off against the Jay Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Holmes County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Chipley get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Bradley Garrett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rayce Griffin was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Aiden Justice was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Jay got the win against Central on Thursday by a conclusive 13-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.
Bridger Hebb looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jay let Jax Lowery and Cooper Harrison run wild. Lowery got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Harrison went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Lowery has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Youngblood, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Jay's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Holmes County, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.
Holmes County skirted past Jay 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
