Hauser had won six straight games and June Berkenstock did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Jets came out on top against the Southwestern Spartans by a score of 36-23 for which the team can thank Berkenstock, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Despite the defeat, Southwestern had strong showings from Bryla Dunbar, who posted two points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Sophie Allen, who earned five points.

Hauser's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Southwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Hauser didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-15 win against Crothersville on the 6th. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-15 victory against Cambridge City Lincoln on the 5th.
