There's no place like home for the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 45-37 win over Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Waverly/South Shore has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Great Plains Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Heil. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Waverly/South Shore's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly/South Shore will take on Wilmot at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on Sioux Falls Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
