When it comes to explaining why Great Plains Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Heil. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Waverly/South Shore's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
