Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They managed an 18-13 victory over the Highlands Ranch Falcons on Wednesday. The Eagles didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Heritage found their leader in freshman Adalie Seibel, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. Seibel got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards.
Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Evie Smelker led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-11. As for Highlands Ranch, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
As of now, neither Heritage nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
