Basketball Recap: Seeger Piles Up the Points Against Covington

Seeger won the last time they faced Covington and things went their way on Monday too. The Seeger Patriots simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Covington Trojans 59-31. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seeger to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cadence White, who posted 18 points and six steals. That's the most steals White has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleigh Purcell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals.

Seeger smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Covington still got an impressive performance from Alex Sutherlin, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with six assists and six boards.

Seeger's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Covington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Seeger has already played their next game (against North Montgomery), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Covington has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Crawfordsville.
