Sharon-Mutual had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. On Thursday, they lost to Cherokee by a decisive 18-38 margin. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Sharon-Mutual was outplayed in the second half. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Sharon-Mutual off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Cherokee a 1-0 record.
Next week, Sharon-Mutual take on Seiling at 7:00 PM. As for Cherokee, they will face of against South Barber.
