The Harvest Prep Academy Eagle will head out on the road to face off against the Arizona Cultural Academy Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Harvest Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
Harvest Prep Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tohono O'Odham.
Despite their defeat, Harvest Prep Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. KJ Legette, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Leo Cordova, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Arizona Cultural Academy took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against Imagine Prep Coolidge by a score of 55-44.
Harvest Prep Academy's defeat was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Arizona Cultural Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
