Basketball Recap: Intermountain Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Merit Preparatory Academy came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Intermountain Christian, but Noah Hillaker wouldn't allow it. The Intermountain Christian Lions took down the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights 64-50 on Friday thanks in part to Hillaker, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Merit Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Cruz Steinman, who posted 22 points and four steals. Steinman has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Miles Petersen, who put up 11 points.

The victory snapped Intermountain Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-12 record. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, they moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
