Andrean is 7-2 against Hobart since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Andrean Fighting 59ers will be home for the holidays to greet the Hobart Brickies at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Andrean's 25-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 32-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanover Central. While losing is never fun, Andrean can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Hanover Central is ranked 103rd).
Meanwhile, Hobart ended up a good deal behind Kankakee Valley last Friday and lost 51-32.
Despite the defeat, Hobart saw an underclassman step up: Riley Weber scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Andrean has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Hobart, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Everything went Andrean's way against Hobart when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Andrean made off with a 84-58 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Hobart's Asia Donald, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. Now that she won't be playing on Saturday, will it be that much easier for Andrean to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
