The Potts Camp Cardinals will be home for the holidays to greet the North Pontotoc Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Potts Camp's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
Even though Houlka scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, Potts Camp still came out on top. Potts Camp took down Houlka 83-69.
Meanwhile, North Pontotoc's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 59-39 loss at the hands of South Pontotoc. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Pontotoc in their matchups with South Pontotoc: they've now lost five in a row.
Potts Camp pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.2 points per game. As for North Pontotoc, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Potts Camp strolled past North Pontotoc in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 by a score of 65-51. Does Potts Camp have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Pontotoc turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
