B District 7 recap September 10, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Braedon Valentine and Sam Reimer connected against Grand Island Northwest. The connection was good for 97 yards, the longest such play in B District 7 this season.
Holdrege fell to Sidney 44-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dakota Fulk threw for 97 yards and ran for 39 yards in the defeat.
Hastings's dynamic duo of Valentine and Reimer proved tough for the Vikings to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Valentine threw for 102 yards and Reimer had 97 yards receiving. Brenden Menke helped Hastings' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 25 yards.
The Tigers' dynamic duo of Valentine and Reimer proved to be unstoppable against Grand Island Northwest, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Cooper Rogers was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 64 yards on 9 carries as Holdrege fell to Kevin Stein's team.
Valentine put up the best numbers through the air as Erik Emerson's team fell to the Vikings.
Reimer was the best receiver in the league this week as the Tigers lost to Grand Island Northwest.
Fulk was a passing and rushing force as Jason Hale's team lost to the Red Raiders. Fulk's key target this week was Dillon Hixson, who caught 2 passes for 79 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Fulk and Brenden Kreutzer, the Dusters have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Fulk leads the league in passing with 302 yards, while Kreutzer has rushed for 149 yards this season. Tops in the league in receving yards is Hastings' Reimer, with 126 yards on 4 catches.
McCook and Scottsbluff played the closest game in B District 7 this week, with McCook eventually emerging with a 13-8 victory.
