Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks walked away with it. They walked away with a 51-40 win over the Saints on Monday. The win was just what Cornerstone Charter Academy needed coming off of a 57-16 defeat in their prior contest.
Grace Jervis was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenah Maddox, who scored nine points.
The win got Cornerstone Charter Academy back to even at 10-10. As for Trinity Prep, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Cornerstone Charter Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Lakers on February 7th. Windermere Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Ducks in Florida (the Lakers are ranked 77th, while the Ducks are ranked 465th). Trinity Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
