The Clyde Fliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 74-59 bruising from Sandusky. Even though they lost, Clyde's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.8 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Clyde still got an impressive performance from Katie Shiets, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds. Shiets scored a full 50.8% of Clyde's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Cora Liskai was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Clyde has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Sandusky, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Clyde will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sandusky will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bowsher at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th.
