After flying high against the Millersburg Indians on Wednesday, the Williams Valley Vikings came back down to earth. Williams Valley took a hard 54-36 fall against Tri-Valley on Thursday. Williams Valley has not had much luck with Tri-Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Tri-Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Leonard, who scored 23 points along with four steals. Leonard hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Schwartz, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks.
Williams Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Tri-Valley, they will face off against Greenwood at 6:15 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
