The Greendale Panthers suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-54 walloping at the hands of Muskego. While losing is never fun, Greendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while Muskego is ranked 16th).
Despite the loss, Greendale saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Yoder dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Greta Dombrowski, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Greendale bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Muskego, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greendale will take on Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Muskego, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Oconomowoc at 7:00 p.m.
