Even though the Grace Davis Spartans scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, the Lathrop Spartans still came out on top. Lathrop walked away with a 68-61 victory over Grace Davis. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lathrop.
Lathrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Raymond Carson led the charge by scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Carson has scored at least 25% of Lathrop's points. Reniel Crisostomo was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Grace Davis, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Beyer the next time they take the court. Lathrop will head out to face Beyer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Grace Davis will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
