Oakwood Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lauderdale County Tigers as they made off with an 86-63 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Oakwood Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Lewis out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Those 14 boards gave Lewis a new career-high. Austin Germono was another key player, putting up 23 points.

Oakwood Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.5 points per game. As for Lauderdale County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Oakwood Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 96-75 victory against Priceville on the 30th. As for Lauderdale County, they will head out to challenge Colbert County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
