The last time they met, Keansburg were the 27-21 winner over Keyport/Hudson Regional. This time around? They had no such luck. Keansburg fell just short of Keyport/Hudson Regional by a score of 18-20. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team. The contest pushed Keansburg down to 2-3 and pulled Keyport/Hudson Regional up to the reverse at 3-2.
Next week Keansburg take on Manchester Township at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match. As for Keyport/Hudson Regional, they will face off against Barnegat. Unlike Keyport/Hudson Regional, Barnegat will be limping in after taking a loss.
