Sylvan-Lucas won the last time they faced Lakeside and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Sylvan-Lucas easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20.

Harlee Nelson paced Sylvan-Lucas' offense, picking up 15 kills. Nelson got some help from Olivia Crawford and her 11 assists. Lauren Brokes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeside lost, don't look at Addison Schmitt. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two aces. Schmitt has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Sylvan-Lucas' win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Lakeside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sylvan-Lucas beat the Knights by a score of 2-1 later that day.
