The North Fork Miners will venture away from home to challenge the Cedaredge Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Fork is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
North Fork took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Rangely by a score of 12-7.

Jordan Gonzalez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of North Fork's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Bronson Hall was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. He has become a key player for North Fork: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-3 otherwise. Gage Adam also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
North Fork was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Cedaredge and Fowler faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Saturday. The Bruins blew past the Grizzlies 13-7. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.
Makai Salazar and Zach Mannon did most of the damage at the plate: Salazar went 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run, while Mannon went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ian Blair, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
The win was the third in a row for Cedaredge, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Fork, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Fork has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Cedaredge struggles in that department as they've averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Fork skirted past Cedaredge 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
