LANGHORNE, Pa. - A big 28-point first quarter helped carry the Redskins to a 49-7 victory over Bensalem (Pa.) on Saturday.
Neshaminy scored on a touchdown run by
Dan Dogba, a
D'andre Pollard touchdown run, a touchdown catch by
Hamiid Pack and a touchdown run in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Pollard in the first quarter, NHS led 42-7 at the half.
The Langhorne school expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Redskins scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Trokon Buesmaill.
With the win Neshaminy extended its winning streak to eight games. Neshaminy defeated Council Rock South 35-0 last week.
Bensalem's lone touchdown came on a 30-yard pass in the first quarter.
NHS had given up an average of 4.9 points prior to the contest.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Fighting Owls.
Neshaminy (8-0) will play a Suburban One - National game against Abington next week, while Bensalem (1-7) will take on Pennsbury also in a Suburban One - National game.
