After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Magnet Cove, Gurdon was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They blew past the Spring Hill Bears 15-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Go-Devils considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
 Sadie Griffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Griffin was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs, six  RBI,  and one  double while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  home runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mollie Cox, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double.  Mikaela Bradshaw was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Gurdon  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Gurdon now  has a winning record of 3-2.
 Coming up, Gurdon is taking a road trip to  square off against Cutter-Morning Star  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Spring Hill, they will host Columbia Christian  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
