The Vidalia Indians won the last time they faced the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Vidalia blew past Emanuel County Institute 68-34 at home. With Vidalia ahead 35-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cristal Franklin went supernova for Vidalia, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. Franklin is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Vinson, who dropped a double-double on 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Vidalia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Emanuel County Institute, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Vidalia will head out on the road to face off against Montgomery County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Montgomery County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday. As for Emanuel County Institute, they will be playing at home against Vidalia at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
