After flying high against Academy for College and Career Exploration last Thursday, Carver Vo-Tech came back down to earth. The Carver Vo-Tech Bears fell to the Lanham Christian Lions 58-54.

Lanham Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Naz Joy out in front who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamar Payen, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.
Carver Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lanham Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Carver Vo-Tech and Northwest will round out the year against one another at at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Northwest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Carver Vo-Tech likes a good challenge. As for Lanham Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 89-67 victory against The Living Water School on the 23rd.
