The Urbana Hillclimbers will square off against the Tecumseh Arrows at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Urbana is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Urbana will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Triad, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Hillclimbers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cardinals 7-5.
BJ Potter looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Urbana is undefeated when Potter allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Grady Lantz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Urbana's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't). Colt Teepe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Urbana kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tecumseh). They blew past Triad 14-1 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Urbana pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Tecumseh, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
Urbana was able to grind out a solid victory over Tecumseh in their previous meeting on Monday, winning 6-3. Will the Hillclimbers repeat their success, or do the Arrows have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
