In what's become a running theme this season, the Madison County Cowboys gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 60-25 victory over Hamilton County at home. Winning may never get old, but Madison County sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Janiyah Mcknight continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ja?merial Weatherspoon, who scored six points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Hamilton County saw an underclassman step up: Tramial Jackson scored 19 points.
Madison County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Hamilton County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County will face off against North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Florida Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 513th, while Madison County is ranked 135th). As for Hamilton County, they will head out on the road to challenge Highland Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
