Baseball Recap: Etna's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Modoc typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Etna proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Braves an 11-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Modoc's batters probably weren't too happy with Emmett Stacher, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up a single walk). Stacher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyle Fowle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ashton Elam, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Etna hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matches.

Etna's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-7. As for Modoc, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

As of now, neither Etna nor the Braves have any future games scheduled.
