St. John had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to the St. Albans Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up an 86-55 victory. The Cadets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Albans lost on Wednesday, don't look at Grant Polk. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-17 en route to 25 points and six boards. That was a full 45.5% of St. Albans' points, marking the fifth time in a row Polk has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Strong, who scored ten points.

St. John's has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. St. Albans' defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.

Coming up, St. John's will square off against Sidwell Friends at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sidwell Friends' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. St. Albans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
