The Moses Brown Quakers waltzed into their contest Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They put the hurt on Prout with a sharp 45-20 victory. Considering Moses Brown has won four games by more than 24 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Moses Brown found their leader in underclassman Lauren Bousquet, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Bousquet's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelynn Perez, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Moses Brown pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Prout, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moses Brown will square off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Pleasant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Rhode Island Rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Moses Brown is ranked first). As for Prout, they will head out on the road to face off against East Greenwich at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
