The Lowellville Rockets will face off against the Mathews Mustangs at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lowellville has four straight  wins, Mathews has three straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lowellville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Heartland Christian on Monday. The Rockets were the clear victors by  a  14-3 margin over the Lions.
 Liam Bartlett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits (and not a single walk). Bartlett was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lowellville's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

 In other batting news,  Geno Perry was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cody Nolfi, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Lowellville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Meanwhile, Mathews didn't have quite enough to beat Pymatuning Valley on Monday and fell  10-8.
 Lowellville pushed their record up to 7-6 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
