CrossPointe Christian Academy lost to New Creation Christian Academy  on Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of  11-7. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Cavaliers.
 Gaines Casey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. CrossPointe Christian Academy is undefeated when  Casey posts three or  more  hits, but 2-5 otherwise.

 In other batting news,  Harrison Wilkes was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Carson Howard also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
CrossPointe Christian Academy's record now sits at 8-5. As for New Creation Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
 Looking ahead, CrossPointe Christian Academy will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Lafayette Christian  at 4:30  p.m. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8  runs per game this season. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  12-0  loss against Scholars Guild Academy on the 18th.
