The Lakeview Sailors will head out to face off against the Maplewood Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Lakeview took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Cochranton as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Parker Montgomery made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.
