It was a Battle of the Birds when Trego faced off against Ness City on Saturday. The Trego Golden Eagles took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ness City Eagles. One positive for the Golden Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Ness City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cadyn Harley out in front who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave Harley a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Broxton Gall, who posted six points in addition to ten assists and four steals.

Trego's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ness City, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trego will venture away from home to challenge Decatur Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ness City, they will head out to face off against Hodgeman County at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Ness City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
