The Dunmore Bucks will head out on the road to face off against the Riverside Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Dunmore barely beat Lakeland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bucks blew past the Chiefs 10-2 on Wednesday.

Rachel Walsh made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walsh was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaclyn Brown, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mia Riley, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Dunmore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeland only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, Riverside came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Honesdale on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Riverside let Kate Reynolds and Adi Odzana run wild. Reynolds went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Odzana went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Reynolds also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season. Clara Sandly was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Dunmore's record is now 9-6. As for Riverside, their record now sits at 7-9.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dunmore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dunmore beat Riverside 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bucks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
