Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bloomfield and Nutley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Bengals lost 17-4 to the Maroon Raiders. The Bengals haven't had much luck with the Maroon Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bloomfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Menake, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Nutley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nutley, they will venture away from home to challenge Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
