The biggest upset of the week belonged to Cotulla, who took down 1074th ranked Bloomington, 20-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A-2 Region IV District 15 this week, Poth beat Dilley 35-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Stockdale's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Darion Bird threw for 20 yards and Gage Haley had 20 yards receiving. On the ground Matt Valadez chipped in 312 yards.
The Brahmas' dynamic duo of Bird and Haley proved tough for Karnes City to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Valadez was a passing and rushing force as Stockdale topped the Badgers.
Valadez was a beast in the backfield as Josh West's team beat Karnes City.
Natalia's Erik Villareal and Mario Bermea have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Villareal has thrown for 697 yards this season, while Bermea has 24 catches for 348 yards. The Brahmas' Valadez leads the league in rushing yards with 2,055.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Poth takes on second place Nixon-Smiley.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Mustangs' Bermea goes up against the Bobcats' Fransisco Vargas.
Next week's game between Natalia and Bloomington will feature a good passing match up as Villareal will test his arm against Vargas' defensive ability.
Poth moved up to 568 from 631 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region IV District 15. Andrew King's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Wolves 35-0.
