The Kemp Yellowjackets had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Eustace with a sharp 46-20 win on Friday. Kemp's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.
Huston Cromer had a dynamite game for Kemp, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Cromer was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards. Kemp also got help from Jayden Freeman who showed off his sure hands for 146 receiving yards.
Kemp's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Eustace, their defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10.
Kemp does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eustace also has no future games currently scheduled.
